From Body Building to Business Building- Funeral Home Success with Craig Hess TT&DPC EP 79
Cody Meyers of LTD Property Group set this interview up!Craig Hess grew up around Tony and Dakota in Noble County. Craig talked about how he grew up and went to school. He talked about how he was broke during college and how he shifted from a medical degree into mortuary science. Craig said that during college, one of his close friends committed suicide.After his friend had passed, Craig directed a lot of his negative emotions toward the gym and started teaching himself bodybuilding by watching YouTube and looking up workouts online.Craig talked about the pros and cons of bodybuilding. The gym was a wonderful place to connect with other folks hard at work, but the environment of bodybuilding competition was somewhat toxic to Craig.Craig talked about finding purpose and a decent salary from his work as a funeral manager.
He eventually went to work for Brian DeCamp at Hite Funeral Home in Kendallville Indiana.At one point an old mentor of Craig’s reached out to him and told him that she would like to seller finance him her funeral home business.Craig took over the business and has enjoyed being a business owner.Craig wants to continue to grow his funeral home business by funding and building a brand new funeral home in Fort Wayne with his father and a money partner.Check out this podcast!

From Burma to the USA- Culture, Family, Religion, Real Estate with Pau Thang- TT&DPC EP 78Pau Thupha Thang is a real estate broker in Fort Wayne Indiana who has his license with EXP Realty. Pau is also part of the local Cheviron Coaching team.Pau talked about how he came over to America in the 5th grade, speaking almost no English.Back when Pau was in Burma, he had no septic systems. The electricity was unreliable and they got their water from a well.Pau talked about the diversity of Burma and how it is made up of many different cultures that are in constant conflict with one another.Christian missionaries who came to East Burma converted a lot of Chin Burmese into Christians.Pau’s father became a pastor and by God’s grace, his family was granted the green card lottery and given permission to come to the USA. Pau talked about the values from Eastern culture and their focus on family and community.Pau shared his initial desire to follow his father’s footsteps and get into ministry.As Pau grew older though, he began to struggle with Christianity and decided to pursue a different lifestyle for himself.Pau gets vulnerable toward the end of the podcast and shares his thoughts on sexuality and how he eventually got enough information and insight through spiritual and political podcasts to choose to behave in a way that is more congruent with traditional Christianity.Pau and Dakota eventually talk about their interest and belief in some of the principles and beliefs of Calvanism.Check this podcast out!The Ultimate Course on Flipping (and Wholesaling) Houses👇👇

His father, Dean, started, owned, and operated the infamous Kruse Auction Park in Auburn, Indiana.Mitch talked about how his father was a visionary, politician, and passionate entrepreneur!Mitch reflected on his father’s strengths and character but also explained how he learned from his father’s weaknesses.
Dean loved risk and pursued things out of desire and possibility (rather than objectivity and profitability.)Mitch said his father’s business had around 1500 lawsuits and at one point they were raided by the IRS.Mitch talked about how he was a Christian, but that previously he had embraced Jesus as a life insurance policy (instead of a lifestyle.)Mitch explained how he was asked a powerful question that helped him make the shift over to a more spiritual, purpose-driven life.The question was “Have you ever thought of changing the scorecard from money to wisdom?”Mitch got a masters in Religious studies.Mitch talked about his work with Blackhawk Ministries and his transition into ministry.He talked about surrendering to God, selling the auction business, and getting committed to his successful TV show “Restoration Road”.Mitch is passionate about ministry and Jesus.
